Journey to your success cathedral

In 1902, the poetry editor of Atlantic monthly returned a stack of poems with this note

“our magazine has on room for your vigorous verse” the poet was Robert frost.

In 1905, the University of Bern turned down a doctoral dissertation as

“irrelevant and fanciful” the writer of that paper was Albert Einstein.

In 1894, an English teacher noted on a teenager’s report card “A conspicuous lack of success”

the student was Winston Churchill.

Napoleon Bonaparte graduated 42nd in a class of 58 at Military school, lucaire.

Wole Soyinka, the Nigerian who later won the Nobel Prize for literature obtained a 3rd class degree from the University.

The great inventor Charles Kettering wrote:

“Once you have failed analyze the problem and find out why because each failure is one more step leading up to the cathedral of success”.

Here are three suggestions for turning failure to success:

Honestly face defeat: at times as humans we constantly live in denial which is bad. We have a hard time facing failure hence we continue to live in denial.

Yes we failed but on thing we should know is that you don’t judge a man by how many times he falls but by what he does in order to stand on his feet.

Hence you can fail as many times as you want but you must accept defeat and get back up.  Face your failure and come out of it, don’t be a coward and give into denial. Honestly face your defeat and never fake success.

Exploit the failure: don’t waste it: learn all you can from it, every bitter experience can teach us something this is called “Investing failure and investing your pain” once you have accepted that you have failed and you are no longer living in denial, the next thing to do is to analyze, look back on steps you took that led to your failure.

Look back on all events that took place, learn from every mistake you made and strive to do better.

Never use failure as an excuse not to try again: this is one part a whole of people fail to understand failing is not the problem to must people, the problem is pcking themselves up and starting again.

Facing reality is hard for most people but in other to achieve success,

you need to break out of that shell called fear.

Fear of failure; fear that if you try again, you might end up where you are right now.  But even if that happens so what? The world we live in is meant for survivor only hence, even if we fail a hundred times, we must pick ourselves back up.  You may not be able to undo the damage or reverse the consequences but you can make a new start. You may be struggling with defeat, stagnation and mustakes right now. Do not be discouraged and do not despise the days of small beginnings.

The destiny of the sugarcane shrub is to be cut at the time of its sweetness (maturity). May you not cut off yourself through discouragement at the time for you to eat the fruit of your labour.

Men write off what they don’t understand and can not explain, but prove them wrong by holding on to the end.
